Rally
An offshoot of traditional obedience, rally is all about teamwork. The handler and dog follow a course together at their own pace, with signs telling the team which exercise to perform prior to moving on to the next sign. Courses include various turns and commands such as sit, down, stay, etc. You can use verbal commands, clap your hands, pat your legs and use hand signals to praise and encourage your dog.
SDTC holds several rally trials each year, often in conjunction with obedience trials. You can find information on upcoming SDTC rally trials here: upcoming rally trials.
SDTC offers classes which will take your dog and handler rally team from foundation to the Masters competition level: SDTC rally classes
