2023 Phideaux Award Recipient
It is the club's special privilege and honor to recognize the 2023 Phideaux Award Recipient.
This year's Phideaux award recipient is always there helping, smiling and quietly working in the background. This person volunteers for numerous club events and assists in many obedience and agility classes. In addition to being on the board for several years, this person has been a trial chair, served on committees, and has stewarded obedience trials and fun matches.
As a class assistant, our recipient works well with students in our public classes. This person is always on time to set up and willing to tackle any assignment. But this person's insistence on trying to carry heavy agility equipment by themselves can drive you stark ravyn mad.
Our recipient is always willing to learn new things and attended the recent CPR/AED training session. The “cute” firefighters did not escape this member’s attention either!
It's not all about dog training though, it's about having fun. Sometimes this person even forgets that their dog has earned titles. Besides dog training, this person loves traveling and Best of Broadway shows. Everybody knows this person's name at their favorite bistro.
Our recipient is full of energy and positivity, and in spite of health challenges, runs agility and does obedience. Having an energetic and sometimes stubborn breed of dog, this person has an a-macie-ing amount of patience and is tuckered out by the end of the agility course, usually leaving the ring out of breath.
If it seems like we are ravyn about this year's recipient, it's because this person embodies the dedication, reliability and hard work of our membership that has made Spokane Dog Training Club one of the best dog training clubs in the region. After almost a decade and a half of service to our club, this member is very deserving of our thanks and recognition.
