1979 Phideaux Award Recipient
In 1979, Spokane Dog Training Club awarded Alvin Flick the Phideaux Award.
Our 1979 Phideaux recipient has been described as one of the building blocks of Spokane Dog Training Club. Always willing to help where needed, Alvin served in a variety of jobs at SDTC, was President for several years and was primarily responsible for writing the initial Spokane Dog Training Club bylaws.
Alvin was an AKC obedience judge and judged many SDTC obedience trials. He and his wife Viola were very active club members. He also got his family members involved in dog training; his son William Flick served as SDTC Vice President.
It is a pleasure to remember one of the founding members of Spokane Dog Training Club and our 1979 Phideaux recipient: Alvin Flick.
