Several of Spokane Dog Training Club's members own therapy dogs, certified by the Delta Society, who visit area hospitals and nursing homes.
They lift patients' spirits and promote healing.
Fully immunized and tested for a gentle temperament, they are bathed and pedicured prior to a day of work.
Each year certified therapy dogs increase in number, and hope to make a difference.
