Can any dog play flyball? Dogs (purebred or mixed breed) that are at least one year of age and have completed an Advanced Home Companion class (or the equivalent) can enroll in the beginning flyball class. Dogs must have good off-leash control, be able to run with other dogs and be in good health.
How do you teach flyball? The training process is broken into developing the dogs ability to run the hurdles (down and back), deploy the box with a "swimmers turn" and return to the handler while carrying the tennis ball.
When are flyball classes available? Flyball classes are available in the spring and summer sessions. |
