Agility is a fast-paced sport in which a handler guides their dog through a numbered sequence of obstacles. Speed and accuracy are important. The obstacles: tunnels, jumps, A-frame, and weave poles are arranged in a different order for each event. |
|
Agility is truly a team activity, so training emphasizes the handler's communication skills as well as the dog's ability to perform the obstacles. Agility can be done recreationally or competitively in local, national, or even international forums. SDTC holds AKC (American Kennel Club) competitions during the spring and summer. Agility is fun for participants and spectators alike. If you are interested, please come and watch us. |
