Alias: Kandee
or Kandeekane Kandee came to me at 10 weeks of age. From the day she arrived, she was a challenge. She was the only puppy who ever could and would climb out of her ex-pen. She was very stressed from the flight and became extremely ill. She was so weak, she couldn't push the doggy door so she learned to go in and out under the bellies of the adults. In the car, rather than jump off the center seat of the van to get to the back, she would walk along the windowsills - trying to avoid having to go into the crate. She has never been short on imagination when she wants to do something. Kandee has a major stubborn streak so training took a lot longer than I had anticipated and we had a bit of a power struggle, but once she understood who was boss, she tried everything I ever asked of her. Some things became titles in front of or after her name, other things were just not in the books for one reason or another. She has a silly game she invented. It's a variation on the "I'm not touching you" theme. She leans against a wall and I'm supposed to touch her on her side or rump with one finger. She twists and barks the whole time but stays jammed up against the wall. She also has a "Princess Di" look where she lowers her nose, tilts her head, and rolls her eyes at me. Because of her happy nature and smiling performance, as a Rally demo dog she's been invaluable. She's been a very upbeat dog all her life and has kept me laughing for over 11 years. -
