Tristan, age 2

Alias:  Tristan
Date of Birth:  January 24, 2002
Sex:   Male
Breed:  Giant Schnauzer
Color:  Black
Owner:
  Marial Willford
Breeder:  Cathi Tower-Chriscaden
Favorite Food:  His mom's homemade dog cookies
Favorite Pastimes:  Bobbing for toys in his large wading pool, chasing tennis balls, and wrestling with his sisters Russia (Giant Schnauzer) and Fudgesicle (Minature Wirehair Dachshund).

"Giant Schnauzers are the largest of the 3 Schnauzer breeds originally bred in Bavaria (Southern Germany) to drive cattle. When one of "Tristan's" kittens get out of the house he doesn't chase it but moves round in front and guides her back to the patio. Not into the house, just the patio where she can run out into the yard and he can drive her back to the patio. He needs to meet some sheep.

Tristan is my 3rd Giant and 90 pounds of cuddly, energetic love. He has a funny "Dennis the Menace" cowlick on the bridge of his nose. His regestered name is German and means overture by Kleine's heir. He came into my life shortly after I Lost my first Giant, Kleine (His great, great, Aunt).

He has earned his CGC and 2 respectable legs toward his CD title. He was Best of Show (for open dogs) at the Spokane Interstate fair in 2003. He will be in the fair again this year along with his 2 sisters.

Tristan saved my life last winter when I fell asleep with a pot heating on the stove. He repeatly nudged me to alert me about the smoke and finally had to jump up on me when I kept pushing him away. THAT woke me up!

He is my special baby boy."
