Lady Liberty
|
Alias: Athena "Athena was born in a litter of three. When she was two days old, a friend dropped by to see the babies. He gently rolled this fat little girl in his palm and said, 'You've got to name this one Athena'. So it was. Athena is a busy young lady. She has trouble keeping her feet on the floor. I open my back door to let her go outside and she will ROCKET out over the head of any dog already outside. When I took her to the conformation class at SDTC for the first time, I opened the crate door to get her out and she shot out over my shoulder. Fortunately, I caught her mid-air and got her leash on. She plays a chase game with Levi, my six year old son. When she gets too excited she includes the chair or couch to catapult off of. She is definitely a candidate for agility! It took me a long time to name this girl. I was looking for something that means "rockets exploding in the air". Lady Liberty (as the statue) was the choice. Athena is going to be shown in conformation this summer...if her feet will be still that long!" -
