Date of Birth:  June 29, 1999
Sex:   Female
Breed:  Shetland Sheepdog
Color:  Sable and White
Owner:
  Kathleen Walshon
Breeder:  Kathleen Walshon
Favorite Food:  The treats she gets when we train. (Garlie Bears and cooked hot dogs)
Favorite Pastimes:  Sleeping at the foot of our bed or my lap, and barking while chasing the other dogs when they retrieve their toys or the ball.

"Gem was the fifth puppy born in the litter. I liked her right away and thought she was going to be my Best in Show dog. Well, she wasn't but I don't care. I love her anyway! She has no hair above her eye brows and everybody thinks she has mascara on. She looks at you with those soft brown eyes that say, 'Aren't I cute?'. Gem has a heart of gold and will try to do almost anything for me.

Gem hasn't missed a session of training since Puppy Preschool, which she didn't like at all. She wouldn't look at me and thought someone was going to get her. She learned things easily and has competed classes in agility, jumping, as well as in obedience through Utility. She has her AM CDX and has two legs on her Canadian CDX. Next year I hope she is ready for the Utility ring. She is more than half way there!

Gem is my little sweetie pie."
