Date of Birth:  August 11, 1999
Sex:   Male
Breed:  Papillon
Color:  Red and White
Owner:
  Tannis Witherspoon
Breeder:  Bonnie Primus
Favorite Food:  Anyone else's (dog, cat, people)
Favorite Pastimes:  Bugging and snapping at Moxie (Terv)

Detour is a dynamo and trains in Tracking as well as Obedience. He received his Companion Dog Excellent (CDX) degree this October at the SDTC Obedience Trial. Congratulations Dete!

His owner writes: "Detour is the smallest animal in my house (even smaller than the cats) so he has to use his little brain to figure out how to get the best toys. I also have a Malinois whose job it is to alert to anything within a mile of my house. When she barks, all the dogs run downstairs and outside to see what is happening. (I like this behavior as it is their main exercise and I don't have to be involved). One day, Dete barked and all the dogs ran downstairs. Dete did not go with them; instead, he walked over and stole the toy that Moxie had been chewing. Pretty smart for a little guy!!"
