Picture this.....Morgan prancing down a hospital corridor, leash in his mouth, tail wagging, eagerly awaiting the first person who will stop and interact with him. For over 7 years, he has been providing pet-assisted therapy at Deaconess Medical Center, Shriners Hospital, and Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane and at Kootenai Medical Center in his home town, Coeur d'Alene. He continues to add to his large repertoire of tricks to entertain patients, their families and friends, and hospital staff members. The observers often laugh at his unique retrieval of 4 oversized cloth mice. He carefully rearranges the mice so that they all fit into his stretched mouth at one time. However, it is the eye contact which he establishes that gives recipients the impression that they are the most special persons in the world. It is hard to imagine a dog better suited for this activity.
